Competition – call

Join the international project LET’S SING ORATORIO MUSIC, a creative workshop CO-founded by the Creative Europe Program if the European Union, which enriches music education in schools through the practical experience of teachers and pupils working together with professionals!

The main feature of the project is the active participation of the audience in the performance: children and youth sing the choir parts of the oratorio accompanied by a professional orchestra and choir, while the soloists will be the winners of Sacred Music International Competition 2021 organized by Accademia Musicale Europea.

Sacred Music International Competition 2021 will be held in Rome from 15th- 18th September 2021 with Eliminatory Round only online and is reserved of opera singers of all nationalities who were under 37 on the day of competition.

The 2021 edition is dedicated to the selection of the double solo cast for the staging of the show “A Promised Land” based on arias and choruses taken from Handel’s oratories mainly from “Messiah” and “Israel in Egypt”. The shows will be held in 2022 in Opava (Czech Rep.) at the Slezske Dvadlo Opava Theater in Karditsa (Greece) during the International Meeting Choir or the Karditsa Festival in Bacau (Romania) with the Philharmonic “Mihai Jora” in Cosenza (Italy) at the Rendano Theater and possibly inother cities.

Competition prizes consist of scholarship, free seminars, cups or plaques, travel and accommodation expenses reimbursement for activities and performances. Scholarship and workshops will be provided up to 6 singers selected by an international jury composed of renowned jurors from music world personalities of different nationalities.
